Sweet & Sinister Swapping

Halloween is my father's birthday, so I usually do some cool decorating and he comes to San Diego from the Bay Area to visit and celebrate. He won't be able to make it this year, and I admit it is a little sad. . . so when I got my goodies from my Sweet & Sinister swap partner Julie from Jane's Apron, I was so HAPPY!

Is there anyone still out there that hasn't read this awesome book? Well, my copy has been lovingly altered - on the cover and inside!

Each and every chapter has a different added touch, what an eye she has! I swear it seems like the book was printed this way. Julie is a true craftsperson - and did you notice the sweet pearl pin on the cover! It is two hearts!

Vampires have always been a favorite Halloween image of mine. I think I have seen every vampire movie ever made. This young maiden is just so darn cool!! She reminds me of Mina in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The little bat necklace is a bit glittery and the pearls were done by hand!

Now here's the sweet part! Three recipe cards - and not only are they beautiful, but the recipes are totally intense. . . Chocolate Chip Pudding Cake, Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies and Fudgy Brownies!!!

Thank you, so much, Julie!

  3. Just happened to be searching around on etsy tonight and discovered your shop full of lovely things. Then decided I had to see your blog. The funny thing is I love to read Jane's Apron and had seen what she was preparing to send her swap partner (even commented on how great the book was!) and now I discover you are her partner! What a coincidence! I just love what she did with the Twilight book...
