I can't help myself. . .
When my grandmother taught me how to embroider my first tea towel I was hooked. It took me a long time to get it down, tying the knot and making the stitches even, but it was totally worth it.
Now when I find damaged pieces of embroidery, I have the compulsion to "save" them. I have listed a few pieces on my Etsy site and here are some that I will list soon. Aren't they sweet!
Like that you preview upcoming items and, as always, I really enjoy reading your writing.

Hi Elise---
ReplyDeleteI landed here from Kari's Year of Color blog and thought I'd give a shout out. I love "saving" embroidery too! And I remember my grammy showing me how to embroider tea towels. I so wish I'd saved that stuff. Anyway good luck on the blog!

I totally do the same thing, save the embroidered scraps from damaged linens! And I too, am going to eventually put some in my etsy shop...so much to do so little time!
